Wednesday - We are now in Port Douglas Australia. The past two days have been spent in the rainforest. While there we went on a night hike in the rainforest, went Jungle Surfing, and Erin went Sea Kayaking. The water was very rough, so I decided against the kayaking and just walked the beach. The place we stayed has several very large birds, the cassowary, that hang out there. They are endangered and all the tourists try to see them. Our B & B, the Rainforest Hideaway was a treehouse along a trail in the rainforest, with open sides, screened against the rain. Very rugged. Very unique!
Tomorrow we are going snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef. The weather is supposed to be quite windy, so I went and bought some sea sickness pills!!
